Jomtienis a picturesque area located in the southern part of Pattaya, Thailand. It is widely known for its beautiful beaches, calm atmosphere and various entertainment. In the north, Jomtien touches the Pratamnak area, in the south it turns into Na Jomtien. There are many Russian tourists and long-livers in this area, due to affordable housing prices and a convenient location.
Where to go and what to do?
Here you will find many restaurants, bars and cafes where you can try different cuisines of the world. There are 2 night markets with food and things that open at dusk and close at 10 pm. There are comfortable tables where you can immediately taste the food you bought, accompanied by music. There are also day markets with food products on the second street and Wat Boon street. Also, on the second street of the Jomtien area there are 2 buffets: Ninja BBQ Buffet Pattaya and Apa Talay Pao & Grilled Pork. These are buffet restaurants, with an entrance fee only, and you can cook your own food on special dishes. Right before Sukhumvit Road there are Tesco Lotus and Macro hypermarkets. In Macro you can find almost all the Russian products that tourists often miss.
The nightlife in Jomtien is also quite lively. In the north of Jomtien, where Thappraya Road begins, you will find a variety of nightclubs, bars and discos where you can relax and dance to music of different styles. For any holiday in Thailand, the Jomtien area is very lively and always organizes its own local performance.
Beaches
The Jomtien area has the longest beach of the same name in Pattaya – Jomtien beach, its length is 6 km, in the north it touches Dongtan beach, and ends in the south – Na Jomtien beach. There are various water sports here, such as diving, snorkeling, windsurfing and parasailing. The beach promenade is great for walking, cycling and simply enjoying the beauty of the surrounding nature.
Accommodation
The main road runs parallel to the entire coast, 30 meters from the water’s edge, so there are no houses or condominiums on the first line, with their own access to the beach. Even with the best location of the condo, you will have to at least cross the road, which is quite busy, to get to the sea.
Accommodation in Jomtien offers a wide range of options. Most of the condominiums located close to the sea are already “tired”, the further from the sea, the fresher. There are only 2 new condos near the coast: Copacabana (2022) and Aeras Condo (2017). The rest of the condos near the sea are 10 years old or older. On the second road (Jomtien Second Beach Road), let’s call it the second line, there are a couple more new condos, such as The Riviera Jomtien , The Riviera Ocean Drive , and the one under construction href=”http://www.nron.pro/residence/the-empire-tower/” target=”_blank” rel=”noopener”>The Empire Tower. On the other hand, if you are looking for an inexpensive option near the sea, it is not important for you that the condominium is new, this area is just for you.
